The Ninja RPG Core 1 Manual

Character Creation

Their are 4 techniques a Ninja can master to battle the opponent. They are equally matched for each other, and different jutsus that they fall over.

Taijutsu, the art of physical combat.

Ninjutsu, an art of combat using the body and the spirit to overthrow the opponent.

Genjutsu, indirectly attacking the opponent creating illusions to attack the mind.

Weaponry, using solid objects to cut down the opponent.

This only applies to you if you train tai/gen/nin. If you do not, you should, so this does apply to you. Hah, you thought there was a loophole...

Every time you train in taijutsu [offense], train the same amount in ninjutsu[defense] [and] or genjutsu [defense]. Likewise, every time you train in ninjutsu[offense] or genjutsu [offense], train the same amount in taijutsu [defense]. This keeps your character's current chakra/stamina and maximum chakra/stamina balanced, and eliminates waste of chakra and stamina.

If you do not do this, you DO waste chakra and stamina. The only way not to do this is to try to waste chakra and stamina. However, everybody seems to it anyway. I hereby command that you start doing this.

If it is too late, and your maximums are already imbalanced, you may try to balance them off with jutsu use and strength/speed training, but please be aware that that strategy actually calls for a bit of thought on your part.

Just a note on why you should be training tai/gen/nin [defense], even if you are a weapon user. Weapons [defense] give the lowest actual stat bonus (although they give the largest maximum bonus). They should be avoided for defense.

Weapon users will have (almost) twice as much taijutsu defense as ninjutsu or genjutsu defense. This is by no means a problem. If it bothers you, however, you may alternatively choose to use taijutsu as a secondary offense, which is not a bad idea, since fists, the free weapon attack, also count taijutsu.

This will increase your free attack damage, helping for missions and BAing (which, as you may have heard, should be avoided at all costs until you know what you're doing- it is only used for money for jutsus that cost 100k + per level. Otherwise, you can beg (Don't be crying about it).
